In pursuing our mission as a global company we have identified three core values: Integrity, Entrepreneurship and Agility.

To further develop and implement our commitment to Integrity, ARCADIS has developed and endorsed the ARCADIS General Business Principles which provide direction for our business decisions and actions throughout the world, at all management levels and which apply equally to company actions and to individual behaviour of all our employees in conducting ARCADIS' business.

Integrity is not one action or belief - it is a culmination of the ethical standards we follow and how we will create and maintain a relationship with one another, as well as with other stakeholders in the group, including subcontractors, clients, people that live near our projects or that may be affected by them, and last but not least, our owners – the shareholders . It is a fulfilment of our high standards of responsibility to all of our stakeholders with respect to the laws and cultures of the countries in which we operate. We have expressed our principles as a set of commitments and have a stated approach towards ensuring observance.

The ARCADIS General Business Principles  were rolled out in 2003, and in 2006 all employees undersigned the General Business Principless for awareness and acceptance. In 2006 also a  Whistleblowers' procedure  was installed. In 2008 a set of Directives were drafted related to the offering and acceptance of gifts and hospitalities, and payments to third parties. In 2009 an anonymous hotline will be set up, offering employees the ability to report integrity issues within ARCADIS.
