ARCADIS to help CORUS adjust Belgian production

ARCADIS (NASDAQ: ARCAF, EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international consultancy and engineering company, announced today that it has been selected to assist Corus Aluminium in Duffel, Belgium. The project has a duration of 2.5 years and represents a value of € 2 million for ARCADIS. Aleris Group, of which Corus Aluminium has been part since August 2006, is one of the multinational clients of ARCADIS for which the company is performing projects in multiple countries.

On the location in Duffel, Corus produces semi-finished aluminium materials (rolled sheets and extruded materials). These materials are applied in car manufacturing, aerospace applications, hydraulics and pneumatics. For these products, Corus Aluminium is an international market leader. To further strengthen its market position the company is running a major investment program (more than € 30 million). To make this possible, sections of the current machinery will be moved, while new machinery will be added. On behalf of Corus Aluminium, ARCADIS will provide coordination for both the project and the master plan, and will prepare engineering design work, coordination of installations as well as on site project management.

Michiel Jaski, member of the ARCADIS Executive Board about the project: "We won this assignment on the basis of a combination of solid global client contacts and a strong local presence in Belgium. Increasingly this is proving a winning combination in getting projects from multinational clients."
