In Germany, ARCADIS is involved in activities for the Cannstatter Carré, a multifunctional trade and services center that will arise in Bad Canstatt, with 70,000 inhabitants one of Stuttgarts largest districts. The center, a high quality concept from the viewpoint of architecture and content, will be a large shopping, activity and business center situated on a former Trafo-Union site. Until the end of 2004 a food market, hotels and offices will be built in this centrally located spot.

The planned new development will have a total surface of approximately 40,000 m2 and a commercial surface of 15,000 m2. Total investment is estimated at around 80 million Euro.
