THE CHALLENGE: Designing and realizing the foundation for an expensive solar panel construction, at an acceptable risk and within a short period of time, with extremely limited soil-mechanical data regarding the behaviour of the waste at this location.

THE APPROACH: Study into technical measures and design foundations and erosion protection of the upper sealing layer for Eco-park Waalwijk (large-scale application solar panels on the slope of former dumping site). ARCADIS conducted environmental research, produced the design and specifications for the upper sealing layer and plants and was responsible for the management.

THE RESULT: A foundation that was found to be reliable and efficient in the second opinion as well, realised within the available time.
