THE CHALLENGE: A sweeping new European chemical control law represents significant business challenges for many industrial clients. The legislation – REACH – involves the registration, evaluation and authorization of at least 30,000 chemicals in the European Union between 2008 and 2018. If companies cannot provide sufficient information about their chemical products, those products may be banned from commerce in Europe.

THE APPROACH: REACH has been a strategic focus area for the Global Product Stewardship practice within ARCADIS for many years. We assisted one of our global industrial clients in developing and deploying a REACH management framework and tool box.
