El Teniente Mine, Chile

The approach
Industrial wastewater produced during the exploration process is treated. Mineral particles and other metals are distracted. Through a stepped approach, water used in the industrial process is re-used in the production process. The level of mineral waste flowing in the river is Cachapoal is at an acceptable level.
