ARCADIS installed a methane gas monitoring system and a groundwater monitoring system at a new Type I Municipal Solid Waste Landfill approximately 10 miles southwest of Corpus Christi, Texas, during 2000.  The methane gas and groundwater monitoring system certification report prepared by ARCADIS was approved by the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission (TNRCC), and the landfill is currently operative.

Prior to groundwater monitoring system installation, ARCADIS successfully negotiated with the TNRCC to increase the approved monitoring well screen length from 10 feet to 20 feet to account for seasonal water table fluctuations.
