Feasibility Study
Ecotrack is a decision support system for permanent way maintenance and renewal. To help the introduction of Ecotrack a Feasibility Study has been developed. This Feasibility Study includes the following:
- Organisation and participation in a kick-off meeting with the user
- Preparation of a test data set (data should be delivered by the user)
- Defining the missing data and investigating the possibilities of their collection in future
- Analysis of the existing maintenance and renewal practices, including rules, regulations and standards, and possibilities of their conversion into Ecotrack's decision-making rules
- Consideration of the organisational aspects of user, and investigation of the optimal and most suitable forms of Ecotrack implementation and deployment at user's railway network
- Production of the feasibility report
- Presentation of the feasibility report
- Demonstration of Ecotrack with the user's data
- Organisation of a training session and/or workshop with the user's test data.
Documentation
The provided feasibility report will contain the following:
- Introduction
- Actual situation in the network
- Data management
- Organisation and planning
- Cost estimates for implementation
- Recommendations.
The report will permit the user to take the necessary decisions about the introduction of Ecotrack in the user's network.
Languages
Both the work sessions and the feasibility report will be held and made in English.
Time scale
The Feasibility Study can be done in a time scale of approximately 3 months, depending on the amount of time needed for collection of test data.
