The Beltway around the Belgian city of Antwerp is fast becomming clogged. If no changes are made to the current infrastructure, traffic chaos can be expected in approximately 10 years. With this knowledge in the back of their minds, ARCADIS employees are working on a mega project for the Flemish government in the Antwerp region. The goal is to improve the living and working environment, thereby improving the attractiveness of the city of Antwerp. This is a serious challenge for the staff because, in addition to the technical knowledge and experience of the collective ARCADIS network, they also need to hone their communications skills. Citizens, clients, special interest groups, policy makers - all these parties have a voice in the project and need to be informed and involved throughout the process of its completion. A final feat in this challenging project is the financial management, which is also being provided by ARCADIS.
